Circularity
Der Weg von einem linearen zum kreislaufförmigen Wirtschaftsmodell nimmt Fahrt auf. An vielen Schnittstellen beginnen Initiativen, Netzwerke und Modelle, um den Ressourcenverbrauch, Emissionen und Abfälle drastisch zu reduzieren bzw. ganz zu vermeiden.
Wir von p14x Innovations fokussieren und spezialisieren uns in dem Zusammenhang auf die Entstehungsphase von Produkten. Denn dort werden ca. 80% der Parameter bestimmt, die später den Grad der Kreislauffähigkeit und Umweltbelastung eines Produktes definiert.
Die Transformation zu einer umfassenden "Circular Economy" wird unsere Kreativität und unsere Anstrengungen auf Jahrzehnte fordern. Aufgrund der Dringlichkeit sind zwischenzeitlich sind jedoch Maßnahmen sinnvoll, die greifen bevor deutliche Effizienzsteigerungen, Technologiewechsel oder auch ein kultureller Wandel stattfindet.
Wir haben uns entschieden den Weg zur Klimaneutralität zu beschreiten. Dafür haben wir uns den international agierenden Partner „atmosfair“ aus Berlin ausgesucht, der mit einem Mix aus Energieeffizienzmaßnahmen, Wind- und Wasserkraft, Solarenergie, Biogas und Umweltbildung zur Kompensation von Treibhausgasen beiträgt. Und der von der Stiftung Warentest mit der Bestnote für Qualität der Kompensation, Transparenz und Leitung sowie Kontrolle als führende Marke bewertet wurde.
Kompensation kann das Klimaproblem nicht lösen, weil sie nichts an den eigentlichen CO₂-Quellen ändert. Sie ist aber solange als zweitbeste Lösung notwendig, solange die beste Lösung noch nicht existiert. Es liegt natürlich bei jedem einzelnen, die wichtigen Schritte vor der Kompensation zu prüfen. Auch das werden wir tun.
Circularity
The path from a linear to a circular economic model is picking up speed. At many interfaces, initiatives, networks and models begin to drastically reduce or completely avoid resource consumption, emissions and waste.
In this context, we at p14x Innovations focus and specialize on the development phase of products. This is where around 80% of the parameters that later define the degree of recyclability and environmental impact of a product are determined.
The transformation to a comprehensive "Circular Economy" will demand our creativity and our efforts for decades. Due to the urgency, however, measures are useful in the meantime that take effect before significant increases in efficiency, technology changes or even a cultural change takes place.
We have decided to take the path to climate neutrality. For this we have chosen the international partner "atmosfair" from Berlin, which contributes to the compensation of greenhouse gases with a mix of energy efficiency measures, wind and hydropower, solar energy, biogas and environmental education. And which was rated as a leading brand by Stiftung Warentest for the quality of compensation, transparency and management as well as control.
Compensation cannot solve the climate problem because it does not change the actual CO₂ sources. However, it is necessary as the second-best solution as long as the best solution does not yet exist. It is of course up to each individual to check the important steps before compensation. We will do that too.
